Many of these witnesses the author himself has known and interviewed, including the man for whom Maximilian Kolbe sacrificed his life, Franciszek Gajowniczek.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR: The Very Reverend Fr. James E. McCurry OFM Conv. entered the Franciscan Friars Conventual in 1970 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1977. He is Minister Provincial of the Our Lady of the Angels Province, USA. He is also past President of the Mariological Society of America, and an appointee to the Pontifical International Marian Academy.
